Potensia is the brainticket of Berlin-based producer and sound artist Manuel Pfeiffer. Emerging from his instrumental hip-hop and trip-hop project PH-Wert, Potensia channels an experimental electronic and ambient sound. Potensia bleeds elements of hip-hop, avant-garde jazz, IDM, and bass music into a unique, immersive sound.

The music is crisp, off-kilter, and deeply textured—shifting between heavy-edged moods and dark and light atmospheres. Potensia explores emotional depth and sonic tension, where genres don’t just blend but melt into each other, creating something unexpected and entirely his own.

With releases like Kindred Strata (cassette, 2013 on Noorden Records, Cologne, Germany), Microchips (limited 12” LP 2024, Self-released), and his collaborations with Paul Nicholson aka Number 3, Martin Böttger aka Studio TS, Potensia has established a distinct sound.

Potensia has collaborated with artists such as Skinny Pablo, Kimo Slice, TSA Works, Benedikt Frey & Tim Toh. His work is further refined through mastering by Nils Haidle and Kelly Hibbert aka Almachrome, ensuring that each release is polished to perfection.

As a sound designer for immersive media production (advertising, film, games, audio production, engineering, mixing/mastering and composition), Pfeiffer has created audio branding and sonic experiences for brands like New Balance, Nike, Sonos, Devialet, Kogancult, Fontaine Cards, Lieferando, Kimera, Sneakers Mag and more.
